Atlas Voting Championship 2002: Great Britain

------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes for the three drivers they genuinely think did well in the GP. One top driver and two running up. If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the blacklist for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer) Also not arguing over somebody elses votes or again on the blacklist you go. Posts should be along the lines of:
...Top Drive: Driver X - The one guy who impressed you most over the GP Weekend
...Runner Ups : Driver Y, Driver Z - The next two guys who impressed you.
Make it clear which Schumacher you mean, and which driver is Top Drive. Don't use the abbreviation MS without further clarification, as it could mean both Michael Schumacher and Mika Salo.
Step 3- Voting will close in about a week
Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. 2 pts for a top vote and 1 for a runner-up vote. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then simply in race result order.
Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-6-4-3-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.
Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.
10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it
Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.
10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly
Note: people who are on the Voting Championship blacklist can still participate in Rate the race.

Top Drive: Michael Schumacher-Flawless race performance
Runner Up: Juan Pablo Montoya- Great qualifying, top Michelin in wet race
Runner Up: Rubens Barrichello- Great charge through the field after stall on formation lap
Quality : 8, Nothing like a wet race to raise the quality/entertainment level
Satisfaction: 10

winner: JP Montoya. What a pole, and what a battle with Michael and Rubens. Plus, the only Michelin driver to get a decent result.
Runner- up: Barrichello. What looked as a doomed race at the start ended as a great exibition of skills. Rubens' certaily at his best moment on F-1
Villeneuve. Ok, BAR was benefited by Ralf and Mac's fiasco, but nevertheless, a great weekend for the canadian.
Too bad there's no place for Nick.
Quality. The TV managed to loose some of the most interesting battles of the race, but yet, the rain drama (or comedy, at Mac's case) deserves an 8.
Satisfaction: 8, too

2) MSch Perfect drive
3) RB Stalled, spun, bein overtaken by JPM where he shouldn't and looked better than he really was on Sunday, due to a superb JPM holding MS at bay for a long time. But other than that impressive fight through the field, and being fast throughout the entire weekend.

Runner Up: Juan Pablo Montoya- Great qualifying, top Michelin driver, neat battles with Michael and Ruby, wasn't going to make it easy.
Runner Up: Rubens Barrichello- Great come back drive, could of not spun and not let JPM pass, but still impressive, and enjoyed it his performance.
Quality : 10
(Simply the best race of the season, we all waited for a rain race, lots of battles, and great drives, simply excellent.)
Satisfaction: 10
(Can't have every driver satisfied, but 3 podium drivers, deserved their points, well earned, a good sense of good racing and results for podium drivers especially, and I think many f1 fans be pleased about Bar drivers points. )

Runners-up - R Barrichello - storming race from the back
J Villeneuve - best race for BAR in a long time
However, Frentzen, Bernoldi, Fisichella, Panis, Heidfeld, Montoya and Kimi (3rd in the opening stages) could argue they deserve nominations.
Quality - 9 - rain always produces outstanding races
Satisfaction - 9 - if only Fisi had got the last point!
