Translated by yours truly, I take no responsibility for all my faults Posted Image

Keke Rosberg´s 14 year old son Nico has had fantastic succses in kartings Formula A-class European championships. In the races held last weekend in France Rosberg again took pole, leaving behind hom over 100 older drivers.

In the race itself Rosberg got an excellent second place in the first start. In the second start his car suffered technical difficulties and he was able only to get a ninth spot.

At this moment Rosberg is in the top three in the European Champinoships, his exact position is not yet clear.

Nico Rosberg is competing in cartings A-class with a special permit, because normally the driver are from 17 years old up. Naturally he is the youngest driver in the class.

In the A-class there are a number of other finnish drivers also competing, amongst them the female driver Karita Friman.

So what do you think? Might we get to see another Rosberg in Formula 1 as early as in 6-7 years? Considering how young as an exampel Button is. Money should be no problem for him since Keke is not exactly poor and also has good contacts with various sponsors after acting as Häkkinens manager.

Well, Nico isn't really a finn. He can't even speak finnish, never lived in Finland, so don't think he will ever get any big support from Finland. But sure, he can make in F1. He seems to quick and definetely has right connections behind him. Money isn't either problem. If Keke was ready to invest his own money to get MH to F1, he certainly is ready to do so for his own son.

Wouldn't it be funny if post race press interview Nico were asked to say something in his own language and Nico would start speaking french .... yes, Nico isn't really like MH who is coming from working class family ... not a averige finn.

where is he from? Monaco?

well, with an F1 champ as a father, somehow it must be easier to learn to drive at an early age.... Posted Image

PS. Gilles used to tell these stories of Jacques sitting on his lap at age 7, Gilles controlling the pedals of his car, Jacques driving the wheel and screaming to his dad: "faster, faster, let's pass them". Are you surprised Jaxs became a successful driver so young???

JV didnt drive a racing car until he was 16 I believe.

As for Finns......

Topi Serjala is in European Formula Audi and doing "decently"

Best bet is Kimi Raikkonen. Dominating the British Formula Renault Championship. If he wins the prize is a one day test in a Renault powered F1 car.
