I'm not sure what consoles its all on, but I've played the Gameboy Advance version...
Despite being so small, its a solid rally game with some very ncie steering and physics.
Anyone try it?

All the reports on High Gear say that V Rally 3 is very very good. I might try it this weekend. If the general public of a race forum says its good then its worth a shot.

I just completed a season with Renault and finished first, quickest at every rally...
Now I'm driving for Subaru.

Anyway, it is a great game (and damn good looking for something so small).
Only thing is - if you want a hard game, this is not for you...
Its for beginners to intermediates... Unless it gets harder as you progress through more seasons...

Are there any difficulty settings?

I think it gets harder as you progress... I triumphed the frist season in a Renault Clio and next season in the Subaru Impreza I just clinched first place in the first few stages of the rally (and in the previous season I had won every stage by at least 10 seconds with the Clio).
I don't think the Clio is better than the Impreza either.... So I think it gets harder as you go along.

btw, currenlty at le mans my best time is 3"35'00ish.. the "lap record" is 3"30'00.. but the times are obviously affected a lot by the car you're driving...
anyway, getting back to v-rally.. i purchased the original game, i can still remember going in to buy it.. it was a really good game.. ESPECIALLY for competing with friends.. my friends and i set up a competition where we would chose a car and a track and you had to do your best time.. only catch was that you'd have to tape it on VHS so that no one could cheat.. on the track that i won, my time was 52.04, second was 52.12, third 52.18 and fourth was 52.32..
so i like the v-rally games, just hope that version 3 turns out to be as good as i am expecting..
