win2k steering wheel help

greetings,

i can't get win2k
to recognise my wheel

logitech wingman ff
red one :up:

latest wingman driver

any thoughts for me ?

and want to play on line

from help me connect wheel
to new system :D

I'm using the very same system as you (w2k + wingman) but having no problem at all. It detects the wheel from the first time out. According the menu, you should install the driver/software from the CD before connecting the wheel to the PC. Have you reversed the order ?

yes, the software is installed
then i connect the wheel
but nothing : no detection

which connector do you use ?
usb ? serial ?

312 PB: do you have other game devices connected to your system? ie, gamepads or a joysticks to the USB port? Some controllers insist on being the #1 device and won't function if they aren't. My Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick is like this, if I have another device in a USB port that is 'ranked higher' than the one it's plugged into, Windows won't even recognize it.

i can't even get win2k
to recognize the wheel :mad:

i have tried both serial
and gameport (via sound card) connection
and nothing :

it is the only gaming device i have

It's a serial connection and not USB?

I think serial Formula Forces (or any Logitech serial devices) have no support for Win2k. That was the situation in the beginning of summer at least. :down:
