Well, here's what I've planned to do after the season finale:

To smash together the results from all the sublimely wonderful BB competitions into one final ranking thingy! The competitions in question being:

-Crashing League
-Eight Unusual Guesses
-Fantasy Manager
-Guess the Grid
-Guess the Podium
-Guess the Pole
-Guess the Result
-HLWITTLY
-PTPC

The scoring system I'm going to use is based on the final standings in each of these competitions. You score one (1) point for each competitor that you have beaten overall in each competition, and half a point (1/2) for each that you finish equal with. For example, if you finish =267th (along with three others) out of 370 in GtG, you'll score 100*1+3*1/2=101.5 points for GtG.

In addition to this base score, finishing in the top ten in each competition will award you bonus points as follows:

1st: 20 points
2nd: 15
3rd: 12
4th: 10
5th: 8
6th: 6
7th: 4
8th: 3
9th: 2
10th: 1

Note: As you can see, I have this pretty much figured out already, with one exception: The Fantasy Manager competition needs some kind of special treatment, as people have several entries in it (yours truly has four, for example). My idea for this comp is to let the WORST entry of a competitor decide his/her score here, inorder not to give us with many entries an unfair advantage. The top results could be eligible for top ten bonus points though, though I'm not sure what to do if someone will end up with several entries in the top ten (which seems more than likely at the moment). I would appreciate suggestions on how to handle all this.

Comments, questions and general annoying feedback is very welcome! This isn't supposed to be taken overly seriously, just look at it as a way of making the subforum season last a bit longer! :)

Great idea! I'll have to start playing all the competitions next year, I guess.

good plan, although I don't compete in all of them. So, Makarias, perhaps you can also take in account the amount of competitions everybody takes part in.
Just an idea.

You beat me to this Makarias. Although I was going to be much more straight forward in how I did this. A simple average of your result across all the comps. There was only 1 proviso. You had to have entered at least 7 comps (the number I have played this year  ) I think maybe I will still do this to see what the difference in results is.

On the Fantasy Manager front perhaps, for the bonus points, you could take the best result and then re-rank evryone else until you reach the end of the bonus point section.

Note that next year I will be making this simple by only allowing a maximum of 2 teams per entrant.

Because not everybody participates in all 9 games you should scratch one or two worst results of each participant. Then the final result will be more fair. In my opinion.

garth, try doing it your way too! Then we can compare perhaps.

For Fantasy Manager, I suppose giving top 10 bonus points should be possible for one entry each (the best one), like garth suggested. If I'll do this thing again next year, the best entry could be used for the basic points too, as there is a clear upper limit on number of entries. And just to clarify, for the base points, if your worst entry beats three of someone else's entries, you'll score points for beating each one of those.

About this thing with people not having taken part in all competitions: I could try a few variations I guess, one with all competitions counted and one with best seven (as that seems to be such a popular number). In the listing I could also tell how many competitions each participant has taken part in. There are a few of us "Forum Freaks" I guess, who take part in anything that comes up here, around a dozen or so, and at least for us I think it would be fun to see all the competitions count.

Do note that when not counting all nine competitions, a popular competition like Guess the Grid will rarely be discarded, as scores for that competition will be high on average.

I dont like this idea, because my entry in the Fantasy manager comp "Prost Grand Prix", was intentionally entered to come dead last.

Therefore next season I'll be playing all those games (just to prove one more time I cannot guess anything ;) )

Hmmm... How about this for a compromise? Second worst. But no points scored for beating one's own worst entry.

Feedback please! Not just from LB! :p

Since nobody has commented on it, I assume my compromise suggestion is accepted by all. The whole shebang will be done pretty soon, assuming that the honourable MrA can get his ass moving with the Crashing League results soon of course! :p

I think that a better solution would be if each member was only allowed to enter one team into the Fantasy manager game, or at the start of the season, they nominate which team they want to be entered in the supercup at the end of the year :)

Cool idea - though i think it should be limited to the major contests; i.e. Guess the Grid, Guess the result, Guess the pole and Fantasy. The 8 unusual guesses, though fun, was peripheral at best, as was guess the podium. IMHO
