I found one among some other magazines I had. It's from 1936. It says "Anno VI - N. 9, 10 Giugno XIV" Does that mean 1936 was actually the 6th year this magazine was published?
Also, No 9 released in June? So, how often were these released? Apparently more often than once a month.

Does anyone have more info on this "La Scuderia Ferrari" magazine, like when it was first published, how many numbers per year and so on?

Sorry to be a bit OT in your thread but... did some other racing teams publish a magazine too during this era?
For the Ferrari one, what kind of content and articles could you read in it?
Thanks :)

I believe the first Scuderia Ferrari newspaper was issued in 1929, and only something like 3 copies are known to exist...and a copy changed hands for something like $20,000 a few years ago.

The Scuderia Ferrari "magazine" actually exists in 2 formats. The earlier ones are larger, and newspaper, rather than magazine format. I believe it was 1939 or 1940 when the magazine became Alfa Corse, and continued to around 1943. The Alfa Corse magazines are virtually impossible to find, but I believe Elvira Ruocco, who runs the Alfa archives actually has a complete but ratty set.

A company in Italy did reprints of some, but not all, of the Scuderia Ferrari newspapers and magazines, circa 1990. These sets are sometimes available on ebay.

Libreria 'dell Automobile in Milan still has the sets of the 1935 and 1936 issues for sale (15 magazines) for 31 Euros plus post , but not of the earlier newspaper format ones.

Maserati did one too. Equally rare, I believe.

I confirm most of dretceterini's information.

Alfa Corse was issued from early 1938 (1st issue in April). Name was changed into a plain "Alfa Romeo" in 1939 or 1940. There are 33 issues in total. The wartime ones have less and less automobile content as the time goes, down to none for issue 33 released in 1943. It was initially a monthly, then publication became more erratic.

I seem to remember that the second series of Scuderia Ferrari started in early 1935. So the N°9 on the June 1936 issue may be related to the second serie progressive numbering. It was discontinued when Alfa Corse went to life, both as racing organization replacing the Scuderia and as magazine. Maybe even earlier as I've never seen (but I REALLY would like to) any late 1937 copy.

I have some 1935-1936 copies, so if the initial question is to be found during that period, maybe I can help.

Paying $350 for one issue makes no sense to me when you can get very good quality copies of 15 issues, pacakged together, for only 31 Euros (about $40).

Just found this on ebay. It is the reprint set of the 41 issues in newspaper format from 1935.
