Wow. It truly was an amazing weekend for the ones and twos of Alex Yoong fans who attended the USGP. The boy did an incredible job, I must say. He stayed right up there with the rest of the backmarkers for the most part, he only missed the first turn one time, and he completed a whopping 20 laps before being passed by MS.

Then, to my utter shock and absolute glee, his engine blew up on the front straight and he parked his car directly in front of me! My wife and I were on our feet screaming for about 5 minutes as he climbed out of his car and took his helmet off. Then he turned and waved! I swear he was waving right at me. "Thank you, Toyoter, for making at least a few people pay attention to what I'm doing out here," he seemed to be saying. It was a beautiful moment, really.

Don't worry, I'll definitely be doing it again next year. As to who will be the featured driver, I'm not sure yet. Most likely the #2 Minardi driver, whoever that will be.

God, is AY slow! Five minutes to climb out of the car and taking off the helmet...

Looks like I'm losing the plot, as Makarias lapped me to take the last points position. Next year will be mine!

This is truly exciting! On sunday I yelled and screamd at the TV when Yoong wasn't in sight down the front straight yet at lap 17.

It's funny, this competition really changes the way I watch F1. Right around lap 16 I was always looking behind and in front Schumi to see where Yoong is instead of watching Schumi at work ;). Only after he is lapped can I concentrate on the race again .

While it seems like Bjorn, Panda and I have figured him out pretty well recently, he can turn around and slap us in the face in the last round still. What if he does 40 laps next time? What if he doesn't qualify again? what if he stalls on grid? - you never know! So I'm just happy to have been on top for two races at least!

It's amazing it all comes down to the last race!

I can't believe people figure this kinda stuff out...So if I'm in 9th, all I have to hope for is that the people in front of me all forget to enter the next round (And Toyoter right behind me doesn't do too well)...look out T-shirt...here I come...
