Well, the season is over so I guess is couldn’t be a bad time to indulge in a blatant grapevine story. Below are some of the recently published details about Montoya’s wedding with Connie Freydell:

Date: Saturday, October 26th

Location: Iglesia de Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo, Cartagena (see link for pictures of the colonial walled city)

Guests: 600,

Current/Former Drivers Invited: Rubens Barrichello, Dario Franchitti, Jimmy Vasser, Paul Tracy, Tony Kannan, Max Papis, Roberto J. Guerrero, Jaime Guerrero

Team Principals Invited: Frank Williams, Patrick Head, Chip Gannassi

Colombian Politicians Invited: Alvaro Uribe (President, went to school with Connie’s father), Andres Pastrana (Ex-President)

So how did they meet?

Connie approached Juan Pablo at a Colombian restaurant with her former boyfriend at the time to request an autograph . She then saw him again at a CART race in Florida to ask for another autograph, this time just for her. The next encounter came at the Chicago CART race where Montoya received Connie and her brother as guests. Things started rolling since then.

OK, someone's got to bring Schumacher into the thread, so let's get it out of the way.....

Williams and Ganassi....a couple power brokers in racing right there, probably will be doing some kind of deal as the music plays...Ralf in Dodge #40 next year??

JPM will marry Connie Freydell next Saturday.

Among the atendees will be his boss Frank Williams, Colombia's President Alvaro Uribe and his friend Rubens Barrichello.

Surprisingly, Ralf Schumacher was not invited...

It will be interesting to see if Rubens attends the wedding, taking into consideration that he was the only Ferrari driver that did not attend Michael Schumacher's Commendatore ceremony.

Am I the only one who finds it strange that JPM invites Barrichello, but had no word of apology for him at Canada 01?

They are racedrivers, they are not supposed to go around making apologies to each other.

Montoya just invites Rubens, so he can make fun of Rubens being slower than Montoya SR in go-karts ;)

I think you are making drama from Ralf is not invited on wedding or Barrichello did not attend Michael Schumacher's Commendatore ceremony.

I really couldn't careless about who attends. I do miss Cartagena a lot, and I which I could be there.

With the CART being in Oz then no surprise about Dario & others not being there.

What does surprise me slightly is that Rubens did`nt go, as he and JPM get on quite well.

Max Papis isnt in Australia, so that photo is not from Australia 01.

The haircuts arent up to date either. Servia's is much longer, Da Matta's much shorter, Ashley Judd's much longer. Moreno is wearing a Visteon shirt. Moreno drove for Visteon last year, has no ride this year.

Max Papis is on US TV right now at the Atlanta NASCAR race being interviewed, so that photo is definately *not* from this year's Australia race.

I don't know when it was taken.(although I know it is NOT Miami 02)
All that I DO know is that it is a 'Best Wishes' offering to a good friend from many.

So before you get all bogged down in some petty issue...
I should think you would be better off chasing a drive for '03 rather than wasting your time on the 'infronet'.

Ps. You never sent them any acknowledgement, let alone your good wishes
