Rob, did you check the ultimateracinghistory website?

It seems for some races there are additional results .

For instance 1988 Willow Springs 1 and 2.

Hawkeye Downs race in 1990 was scheduled for September 2, called the "Salute to Labor 125" - note the race was to be on Sunday´before Labor Day! Practice was to start on Friday night, with Saturday off and qualifying and race on Sunday. Johnny Unser (17.4") and cousin Robby (17,5") were fastest in practice, but all competitive events fell victim to a slow but persistent rain. Forecast for Labor Day was rain, too, so the race was postponed indefinitely and, apparently, never held.

Also cancelled was a race at Pocono International Raceway's road course on September 30, due to lack of funds by the promoter.

Colorado Springs Gazette, Wednesday, September 10, 1997:

THE NEW GUY: Colorado

Springs racer Greg Gorden is

dominating races in the American

IndyCar Series.

Gorden recently won the

Eagle National Lease 125 at

Tri-City Raceway in West Richland,

Wash. It was his second-

consecutive victory.

He was challenged in the race

by another Colorado driver, Ken

Petrie of Castle Rock.

Gorden drives a Lola-Buick,

similar to the cars on the Indy

Racing League circuit.

Gorden also won the National

Kidney Foundation Race for Life

Indy 100 race at Hawkeye

Downs Speedway in Cedar

Rapids, Iowa. The victory as

special because he drew a black

flag for passing two cars during

a yellow.

Drivers who get a black flag

have to pit and then start again.

When Gorden returned to the

track, he was in the back of the

field.

He didn't stay there long,

Gorden moved his way to the

front of the pack and won b)y

half a lap.

Gorden will race again this

weekend at Race City Speedway

in Calgary, Alberta.

There was not enough money to keep the original AIS going but in reality if some one had enough money now to start it up again, it would probably embarrass the current Indy car series and probably draw at least as many people.

I don't think so, It was a back-rate, third-hand, rinky-dink, invisible series made up of old cars and third rate drivers back then and there would be no reason to expect anything different.
