Stephane,

there's a book on the Escudería Montjuich. Tomorrow, if nobody is faster than me, I'll post the data I have.

Carles.

Stephane,

IIRC the tittle of the book is, simply, "Escudería Montjuich". Anyway, I've just made a search through www.lallibreriadelmotor.com and www.libromotor.com, without results, so maybe the book is out-of-print now.

Carles.

The Escuderia Montjuich also had a logo/ badge resembling those of the automobile clubs. It was used on various occassions on their cars in white on a black background with also in white the name "Escuderia Montjuich".

Can anyone provide a more detailed picture or scan?

Thank in advance!

The greatest event of the Escuderia Montjuich was without doubt the Tour de France Automobile 1971!!!
That fabulous yellow Ferrari 512M #142, with the additional lights on the nose (like any other regular rally-car...) was one of the most gorgeous car in motorsport history... José Mauro Juncadella-Jean Pierre Jabouille with Jean-Claude Guenard as navigator, were 2nd over all at the end of an incredible race, won by Jean Claude Andruet-"Biche" in a Ferrari 365GTB4 Daytona, if I remember well.

Sorry Nanni, but in 1971 Tour Auto, the winners were Gérard Larrousse and Johnny Rives in a Matra-Simca MS 650. Andruet and "Biche" with the "Thomson" 365 GTB/4 won the 1972 edition.

Nanni,

with the only goal of the accuracy, the name of Juncadella was José María (you can find it as José Mª too), instead of José Mauro.

Thank you Jarama, I'm pretty sure in the Italian magazines at the time the name was reported many and many times as Josè Mauro. So Josè Mauro fitted my memory...

Did Juncadella have a brother also driver, called Xavier?

Of course, Juncadella's younger brother is Javier (or Xavier, in catalan).
