FYI, here's what's new with the competitions and stuff I run at this forum for 2003 (feedback and questions potentially welcome) :

Voting Championship

* Most importantly, I'll be posting the Voting Championship threads in RC this year . Last season the number of voters on each race was lower than in 2001, so I'm hoping this move will increase the number of voters.

* The 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 points system will be adopted in the same way as for the real WDC. There were races last year where the votes were spread among fewer than eight drivers, so I hope that we'll have not only more voters, but also a better spread of votes among the drivers. The top three team drivers tended to get a bit too many votes last year, compared to the others.

* Changed tie-breaker: Until now, a tie between two drivers with the same points score and same number of top votes has been decided in favour of the driver who had the best race result. This will from now on be reversed, to favour someone who finished 8th rather than 7th. Exception to this rule: Drivers who received no vote points at all!

Place The Points Competition

* The number of points to be distributed has changed due to the points system change and the cancellation of the Belgian GP. Points to be distributed this year are 39*16=624. Should be interesting... Thread will be up in a few days!

Guess the Pole

* Changed points system. Last year, it felt a bit too common that quite many participants scored zero in an event, so I've revised the points system to a more generous one:

deviation (s) pts

 0.000-0.020 10

 0.021-0.050	8

 0.051-0.100	6

 0.101-0.200	5

 0.201-0.500	4

 0.501-1.000	3

 1.001-1.500	2

 1.501-2.000	1
Points will also be given to the top eight for each event according to the same system.
Correct guess for pole driver will be worth 3 points.

*First race of season will have the time tolerances above multiplied by 1.5 (like for a slightly modified track).

Supercup

*Only the top 100 in each competition will score points. This will make the points calculations a bit more comfortable for me, and stops a mediocre result in a big competition from being as valuable as a top result in a small competition. Bonus points for top 10 in each competition just like last year.

*Competitions that are not about F1 predictions won't be included in the Supercup.

*Your best entry from garth's Fantasy Manager will be the one that counts.

Silly Season Trophy 2005

*THE COMPETITION WILL ONY BE OPEN FOR ENTRIES UNTIL THE END OF NOVEMBER which is not a change from previous years...

I guess...you are talking about "also" GTR right? Has to be.

It's not my job to talk about GtR, as I'm not responsible for that competition :)

I think you'll find you won't be allowed to do that....the clutter it caused in RC was the reason they made this forum....

Ok then...now talking about "The supercup". Last year I sucked simply because I didn´t participate in some competitions so would you please especifie the comps involved??.

I know that GTG, GTR, PTP and GTP are.... do we have more??.

Thanks in advance for answering, some people like me may not know about this, and also I wouldn´t like be playing every single game that pops up you know what I´m saying??.

Cheers.

Sammyed: Those that LB mentioned, plus any possible new competitions about predicting F1 stuff. No art competitions and such.

JForce, are you referring to the clutter caused by the competition threads? I think nothing could be more natural than having the Voting Championship in RC, if anything it seems a bit out of place in this fine forum, as it's not a competition to begin with.
