Looks like Jport's dad has offered us 2 plane tickets off his frequent flyer miles. I have been looking around and it appears that tickets to Italy are not that bad. Of course we'd love to go to Monza but with a trip to Colorado and the USGP in the same window this would simply be far too difficult. Add to that that I am dying to get to a race as soon as possible and Imola seems a good fit.

That said, what is the best airport to fly into and do any of you have any sort of tips regarding accomidations for the weekend - including tips on the race???

IMOLA...Now or Never..
It most likely WILL BE THE LAST F1 RACE THERE
I plan on going as well (work permitting)
I should be staying with my friend Giulia in Rimani

The nearest major airport is Bologna (30 mins to circuit)
I would get busy and check the hotels there ASAP
The Grand Hotel Baglioni is rather swish and Jport will 'love you long time' for that booking!!!

Dining in the Emilia-Romagna area around Imola is the BEST IN THE WORLD!!!

I would either buy a GA ticket and join the masses at Tosa or the hill at the newly re-profiled Rivazza
Or Break the Bank and plump for a Paddock Club Tickets
Grand Stands are OK but the environs are really beautiful and worth strolling through
(and for some reason counterfeit tickets always prove a real pain...(8 people with YOUR seat)

We canceled because we have a bunch of neighbors and 6 people from jports family going to the USGP.

Plus jports dad just booked us for Vette's on the Rokkies out in Colorado during August so I could not get anymore time off.

Next Year though - hmmmmm during the honeymoon ;)


Damn I wanted Germany for the honeymoon - wanted to takle the Nurburgring!
