I absolutely love Brands Hatch I think with a bit of thinking they could get people from the local area interested in putting up with the British GP just for 1 weekend there must be a way to gain their interest in it let alone get them to agree. Anyway just a simple Poll whats your favourite circuit I've been to the British Grand Prix at both and a lot of other things influences my choice but I was just wondering what others thought, try not to be biased by not seeing a GP at either venue on the TV or in person. Brands has a fantastic mix of corners very well cambered and with great gradient changes a great natural theatre too as opposed to Silverstone fast sweeping corners with also good views around the track good facilities.

Brands is awesome but deadly,so the point[without millions in upgrade's]is moot.

Awesome lap, shitty race. It'd be on par with Monaco/Hungary

Having driven both and had a laugh at both I concur with Ross - personally I would take Silverstone over Brands any day of the week, unless someone is willing to spend a hell of a lot of money to renovate Brands.

They already tried. It wasn't blocked on money and noise grounds. It was blocked on hippy tree-hugger grounds.

From a TV perspective, bike races and touring car races seem better to me at Brands. I can't imagine open wheelers there though.

Its only the development potential that ever stopped Brands, Senna's favourite track was Brands when they raced there that is.

The Hatch is the wrong side of London for most of us and is not really up to F1 these days. It would be a shame if a lot of money was spent there to bring it up when there is another, even better, circuit available (Donnington).

Brands Hatch is OK for Touring Cars where spills and thrills are part of the action but I much prefer Silverstone for F1.

Brown Snatch is on the right side of London for me!

We'll see how it stands up to a big open-wheel race after the CART boys have been over in May.....

Brands is an interesting race track, Silverstone is a converted airfield. There is no comparison.

BUT back in the real world, no-one is going to pump in the huge amount of money needed to bring Brands up to current F1 standards. Its owner is finctionally bankrupt and the circuit is up for sale. Frankly, we will be lucky if it stays a race track and does not get redeveloped for housing - the chance of it ever being used for F1 again must be miniscule.

I always preferred the GPs held at Brands BUT I would not like to see them return to that venue. The proposed changes that were mooted a few years ago to bring it up to current F1 standards would have absolutely ruined its character. As BRG points out, its current status as a race track may not last much longer if Octagon go under.

I'd better get a Brands Track Day under my belt before it's too late.
