1981 - While local idol Gilles Villeneuve is struggling around in a Ferrari that has become increasingly uncompetitive in late season, a couple of Monza 'fans' break into his helicopter and take his wallet, briefcase, etc. There's a picture of GV after this practice session where his expression could melt anything....

1982 - quote in race report "One must wonder how many half-finished buildings came down in Milan(?) because their supports turned up at Monza" after Andretti returns to F1 and puts Ferrari on pole.

1983 - Championship rival Piquet dominates and a spectator throws an orange at his Brabham in closing laps. After the flag fans pour onto the track and there's a picture of one fellow sticking his middle finger right in Piquet's face!

1983 (San Marino) - Italian Brabham driver Patrese blows a certain win by crashing late and hands victory to Tambay in Ferrari #27. The crowd goes estatic when RP crashes - after he won the 1990 race Ricardo commented how those cheers had haunted him for 7 years!
