Ok, never started a poll before, lets see how it goes.
Which F1 news site is best, acording to you?
Take reliability, news contents and how fast they update the news in consideration.
(note, You can not choose Atlas f1, that wouldn't be fare to the other sites ;) )

I give this thread 3 hours maximum before it's banished for daring to suggest that we may at times patronise other sites. Halloooo, BIRA!!!

I'm afraid my fabourite news site is http://www.autosport.com - its got really good F1 news (at least as up to date and accurate as Atlas, and often slightly more up to the minute.) Plus when I go there I get to check out all the WRC, BTCC, CART and F3000 news at the same time.[p][Edited by Iain on 06-13-2000]

Autorace is pretty good. Very quick getting the news up, especially testing times. No live timing, however.

I have to agree, Autorace.com seem to give the quickest updates and have the most comprehensive amount of news. Although sometimes its a bit of a bore to sift through it all as a lot of it is just crap. They often repeat the same quotes in different topics. e.g. McLaren press release gives you the entire DC comment and yet they will have another topic solely on DCs comment.
I like Atlas cos there is less **** to sift through and what they post is more reliable than most.
Hey 404KF2, thats 8 hours now!

I think there are really two types of F1 news websites, and to compare between them is wrong in my opinion.
There are the professional F1-dedicated websites, whose news is to a large extent first-hand, verified and whose writers are journalists. In that group I'd put Atlas F1, Racer (speedvision), Autosport, planet-f1 and ITV-F1.
And there are the amateur F1-dedicated websites, whose news is mostly, if not all, second-hand and is mainly based on scanning all other "sources" (namely, other websites, teams websites and offline media), and whose writers are not journalists (or at least not one with experience in real newspapers or magazines. wanabe journalists don't count.) In that group I'd put f1racing.net, autorace, dailyf1, dailyf1news, f1.on.net, formula1.co.uk, etc. Formula1.com is essentially in this category, although I'd put them a notch higher, somewhat semi-professional.
Now don't get me wrong, when I say amateur I don't mean bad. Granted, some of those sites are pure **** but some of them are rather good and serve the purpose of keeping updated with f1 news, gossip, rumours and speculations. However, when it most matters, I find that AtlasF1 are really the fastest and the best. I still remember their coverage after Schumacher broke his leg -- they were constantly the fastest, most updated and most reliable of all.
In any case, pardon me for saying so but such polls are really redundent. The great thing about the Internet is that you can - and should visit more than one website. No one I know that surfs the internet, regardless of what subject he's interested in, visits just one website.
By the way, I am constantly surprised by people who like autorace. It's really such a crappy website in my opinion, and it's such a laughing stock among so many surfers I know, that I'm always amazed that people are still visiting it. What Bex37 said about having to sift through the crap is spot on. I'm just surprised you don't mind the smell

But hey, it's a free media. So the more websites that satisfy each of us - the better. No one said we all have to like each and every site of the millions out there

I like http://www.dailyf1.com. They seem to update pretty quickly and has some good features. They have six different languages also. As Samurai I prefer http://www.formula1.com when it comes to live-reports.

Sorry Bob, but all the crap I read on http://www.sportal.co.uk regarding the Monaco Grand-Prix doesn't make it a reliable source of information in my eyes...
When I began reading Atlas F1 4 years ago, I liked the fact that their news were always reliable, and I think that the site can take pride in having kept that same standard. The only other website I visit with some regularity is http://www.galeforcef1.com because their timing information is very complete.
