------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes according to these rules:

* You can give a driver either three, two or one point. (Or zero, which is default.)

* You can distribute no more than eight points (but less if you want to).

* You need to vote for at least two drivers.

If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the blacklist for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer) Also not arguing over somebody elses votes or again on the blacklist you go. Posts should be along the lines of:

...3 points: the driver/s you think did the best job during the weekend
...2 points: the next best ones
...1 point: the ones after that

Make it clear which Schumacher you mean, and which driver is Top Drive. Don't use the abbreviation JV, as it can mean both Jacques Villeneuve and Jos Verstappen. Also be clear about Ralf Schumacher and Ralph Firman.

Step 3- Voting will close in about a week

Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then in reversed race result order.

Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.

Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.

10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it

Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.

10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly

Note: people who are on the Voting Championship blacklist can still participate in Rate the race.

Let's see...

3 points To Michael Schumacher. For getting the pole, even making a mistake on his flying lap; for overtaking Kimi; for getting the victory after the boxe problem that could become a serious accident.

Two points to the BAR's british man. While his teammate talks and complains, Jenson Button brings results. A great race.
Two points too for Kimi Raikkonen. Great os saturday, great on sunday, amazing defensive driving when needed.

A single point Goes to Montoya. Fast and daring during all the weekend.

Quality: tell me, the people of Austria TV were drunken, in pre-coma or what? Awful, awful transmission. There was moments it looked like I was wathing a show called How to fix a Fuel Hose. That's why, unfortunatelly, the quality is only 5

Satisfaction: Other 5. Ah, rubinho, Ah, Rubinho...

Driver of the weekend: (With emphasis on driver not driver+car)
3 points: Montoya.
2 points: Raikkonen.
1 point: Schumacher.

All drivers were much better than their teammates, Schumacher by the smallest margin but strong nevertheless. Montoya gets the nod for his pace when the rain fell, massively faster than the other top runners, while Raikkonen impressed me the most in qualifying.

3 points to the lying weight assisted marauder Da Matta, who just keeps on proving how as he said, the best drivers are in CART.

3 points to Pizzonia, the 2nd Wunderkind from Brazil who despite having his Kangaroo teammate start in the pitlane and also getting a stop go penalty, still finished behind the pacey marsupial.

1 Point to David Coulthard for crashing into Mika Hakkinen in 1999

1 point to Jacques Villeneuve for having impure thoughts about goats during the race.
