Saw the sneak preview last night and all in all I must say not a bad movie.
I was expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised in spite of no gratuitous sex, violence, or nudity. Perhaps not as good as the first but since big screen movies that have any sort of interesting car content are rare I'd say this is pretty good.
And Charlize Theron is not bad looking either, especially when she drives an old Mini...

On the basis that they put all the best stuff in trailers, the film looks to be godawful...are there any jokes in it?

Either way, I bet they won't be talking about the remake 35 years from now.

Also, dont hold your breath if you want to see the same storyline as the original... it doesnt track well. If you want to see lots of flash and a pretty good chase scene with the current Mini, its pretty good. It entertainment, and thats what I go to the movies for.
