wow! i was spellbound by hans etzrodt's hillclimb winners opus!..i was very interested to note the campaign of von morgan's T-35-B bugatti [4948] in 1931...i thought he had switched to a T-51 that year...hugh conway's "bugatti magnum" lists his 1931 season as so...
eifelrennen gp....2ed
avus gp....2ed
czech gp...3rd
bordino gp[alexandria]...3rd
and these rather basic results list his car as a T-51...
now i'm not exactly a conway fan,nor do i trust everything he had to say...but hey the book is big, heavy and very expensive..so how could he be wrong???
with the hillclimb results firmly in hand[a big thank you to the eminent dr etzrodt] can anyone help me clear up the conway misstep?
thanks in advance.
[btw] just was browsing thru etandelin's wonderful book..he lists von morgan as finishing 5th [3:30'21"] at the IIIe grand prix de tunisie [carthage] 29 mars 1931...but no mention of his car...
