...and btw: RedFever, when was MS 3 seconds adrift of Hakkinen? Looking at laptimes, and reading the reviews and scanning my memory, I don't remember him being anything but all over Hakki after getting passed by Mika, and getting past DC. Not doubting, just don't recall it that way.....???

GoGeneGo - I think you mixing your races up. I'm not aware of any MS car problems during the Nurburgring GP.....i know it must be difficult and easy to get into muddle with MS winning so many races and all!;)

you are right, it was more 1.985", so it's more like 2 seconds. But as it starts getting dump, it's .0000000000001, oppppsss, touched his gearbox......;)

ggg, you are confusing Montreal with GP of Europe. Schumi had no break problems whatsoever there. He simply slowed:

"Michael Schumacher: “This is one of the best days of my life because it is the first time I have won in Germany with Ferrari. I have seen my fans standing here for three days in this bad weather and I hope this win has warmed their hearts a bit. I knew we were strong but that it would also be a tough fight. It was also interesting and enjoyable. Everything was perfect and the car worked well in the rain. The only critical point was when it started to rain. None of us in the front wanted to pit as it was not clear if this was for real. As soon as we saw others going faster on rain tyres then I came in immediately. I had some problems with aquaplaning, especially towards the end, as by then I had done over 30 laps on the same tyres. In the past I have dreamed of going to Monaco with this sort of lead. Sometimes dreams come true! I have gone well at Monaco in the past and I hope that will happen again.” from http://www.Ferrari.it
