Is Formula 1 Practice shown on Eurosport during a Grand Prix weekend?
This is probably a question best put to the audience from the United Kingdom...
I am thinking of getting SKY and heard a rumour earlier this year that they maybe covering the practices not shown on ITV (Exclusive rights holder in the UK).
Any ideas anyone?
Also what channels (in the UK) might i find CART, DTM, Indy Racing (IRL) etc?

For starters ; Sky don't show ANY Formula 1 at all - perhaps you're thinking of last year??? (before Bernie pulled the plug on it????)

no i meant Eurosport, which i think comes with SKY...
Has anyone got SKY or similar? and if so what Motorsport do you get to watch over and beyond what you get on terrestral TV.

there's tons of stuff on Sky Sports, just check the listings ; what's that 3 hour prog every month produced by Andrew Marriott for starters. It's OK, but is filled with Malaysian Touring Cars or some other crap etc. (rallying from Canada!!)

Apparently so, but unfortunately British Eurosport (the one you get with Sky) and Eurosport international don't show any F1 sessions. The good thing phil is that you will get motors tv which has live BTCC and Nascar amoungst other things. British Eurosport will give you motogp, some CART plus the LG super racing weekends.Originally posted by karlth

yesterday IRL Michigan live on Sky Sports. CART Vancouver live on British Eurosport.DTM live on Motors TV. Spa 24hrs+ ETCC & FRV6 also on British Eurosport for several hours.Originally posted by EvilPhil

Unfortunately if you want more F1 than ITV supply you need either an old analogue sat system or a separate digital one aimed at 19.2 E to get German coverage.

Motors - Live BTCC ( including support races) and DTM some Busch races lots of repeats which is good all the Aussie stuff too from Utes to the V8 supercars. loads of stuff really, To give you an idea US rally is on at the moment Brit F3 in 20 mins V8star at 6.30
Eurosport - MotoGP, Cart (sometimes, tape delayed otherwise) I think it does the World Superbikes as well and tape delayed
F3000 , WRC nightly
Sky Sports - IRL umm and a LOT of club racing and things like FNippon on World Motorsport which
is weekly not monthly. dropped Cart this year, Loads of Football though.
NASN - which you have to pay even more for - Live NASCAR
ASCAR F3 and other stuff are in there too just not sure where.

On the french channel of Eurosport there are all practice sessions, plus both qualifyings, without the warm-up (but it's on german RTL). The race is on TF1 french channel, not on Eurosport. Both TF1 and Eurosport have organised the french diffusion of F1.
