I am heading to Toronto with a friend for the Mosport ALMS race and was wondering if there were any kart tracks in the city or nearby. We would want to try it for the first time and would love to find an indoor or outdoor road course track where they rent karts and equipment. Does anyone know of a place?
Thanks.

There is a indoor karting track called 'Formula Kartways' close to Steeles Ave and HWY 10 in Brampton. The facility is not too bad...two tracks (oval and road course) and the karts are not too bad...
I believe that you can rent the entire track for private events....it may be worth checking out.
I think they have a web site, but I don't know the URL..

Hey, one of the best kart facilities for " civilians" in the area is Formula Kartways at 79 Bramsteele Rd, Brampton, Ontario, Canada L6W 3K6, they have a nicely laid out indoor track and an oval
.
There is another kart facility off hiway 401, been there once not that impressive ... the brakes failed on my kart and I crashed into the tires, nearly broke my leg
The Mosport facility is shifter Karts that are kick ass machines owned by the racers .... they don't have rentals. I don't think.
Try contacting someone from the Toronto Karting Club, they may be able to help more - http://www.torontoka...com/index.shtml
