I gather it's Brabham? And where's the best seating position? THANKS.
Please use this seating chart:

Section A, seat V38.

At the back, its a better vista of this area of the circuit and easier to watch the cars go past (they are very quick). Also, you don't have the catch fencing in your line of site and you can get a better appreciation of the speed of the cars as they come down the straight.

From this end of the grandstand, you can look over your left shoulder and see the cars coming down the straight. You can see them at top speed as they hit the brakes for the first corner and you can follow them right through the right-left chicane. A lot of the passing moves happen down the main straight.

A lot of drivers make mistakes at turn 1 during practice and qualifying, but they generally just go off the track, across the grass and rejoin.

The TV screens are a long way away, so take a good pair of binoculars so you can read the time gaps off the screen.

I think the Brabham stand is probably the best General Admission stand located on a corner, but I have only tried Brabham, Fangio, Senna and Schumacher.

I tried the Fangio stand (pit straight) for the first time last year and was pleasantly surprised. You see, I only really go to see the racing rather than the so called "F1 circus". But when you're on the main straight, you're really in the thick of the action. Granted, you're not near a corner where you might see the odd passing move or the odd crash, but experience tells me you don't see too much of that during the race anyway and you're pretty lucky if it happens on your corner and even luckier if you were watching at the time. A better view of the TV screens is a big help when trying to follow the racing. Also, from the pit straight, you get the best view of the start. You can watch the activies in the pits and you get all the pre-race stuff including the grid girls :cat: happening right in front of you. If you choose this stand, again, choose something up the back (bloody catch fences) and try to position yourself near you favourite team pit garage. This year, I was straight across from the Jaguar pit! (Go Webber). If you're a Ferrari, McLaren or Williams fan you will end up being near the start/finish line, which would be great during the start and the pre-start stuff. Drivers photo is right in front of you!

Hope it helps.

Why do you gather it is Brabham? Because it is the dearest? I've sat at most of the stands and it really depends on what you want to see.

I prefer Jones to Brabham for the first corner action. Same price and you get to see a glimpse of the cars approaching the corner. You just dont see them much after they exit the corner (which you do from Brabham).

The pit-straight stands are great if you want to see the pits, the start, and the cars going flat out. Not really my cup of tea as I like the close up stuff.... and on the practise/qual days I wander over to the back straight for some full speed action.

My faourite is still the Clarke stand. Plenty of overtaking into it for the support races and always a few spins by the bg boys in the practices/race.

The only stand I have been disspointed in was the Piquet stand a couple of years ago.

If you go with Brabham I dont think it really matters where you sit. I think all seats would get about the same view. The sections E and F are a bit closer to the track. Just depends if you want to sit as close as possible (down the front) and have a wire fence in front of you (bad for photos) or go higher up and avoid the fence (but need a better camera - longer shots).

Cheers

Section A in the Brabham stand might be okay, but I was in section D or E(can't remember which) and was somewhat disappointed, as from there you couldn't see them at top speed and only say them from about 15 metres before they take the first corner and then drive on thru.

I think certain parts of the Jones Stand would be the best, the part(s) closest to the startline, so that you can see them at top speed, then breaking, then going through the first corner.

Gerry Nassar the bastah, bought some Moss Stand tickets from me that I was set to use this year, his opinion would definitely be worth seeking.
