Really sad news. I got to know Jacek during my only Polish racing weekend at Poznan in October 1992, and he told me all I had to and wanted to know. I won't forget him.
R.I.P.

Hello!!
As you know, I developed a great interest on the races byond what was common to call "The Iron Cuartain", because I never imagined there were such level of competition, mainly on single-seaters. It is a brand new world for me, and I'm sure it happens with most of the people who sees such photos and footage. I think the biggets problem for researchers is precisely the language, because there are very few people speaking English, and any work that's done doesn't have the same diffusion worldwide. However, I am pretty sure that it could give a pretty good book, and we're lucky that so many of drivers and people are alive yet.
What you think about it?
Best Regards

Józef Kiełbania passed away on the night from March 1st to 2nd, probably just before midnight, at the age of 82.
He started his career in carting, in 1962 he moved to cars and he was active in Polish Championship until 1988. He was three times Polish Champion on circuit and once in Hill-Climb.
He also was a member of Polish team in Cup of Friendship many, many times.
He will be buried tomorrow in Radom.

Someone know the birthdates of Czech brothers Jiri and Jan Vesely, builders of the RAF cars? Was Jiri the older one? I have read that Jan was 35 in 1984, is all I can find as the names are too common it seems.
Also looking for 5th place finisher in the Formula Vostok race at Most May 8, 1988. All the sources I could find jump from 4th place Jan Vesely to 6th Toomas Napa - mistake in numbering, or a missing finisher? Championship points are incomplete, so I can't work it out.
