Hi mates,

I am using a Logitech Momo Force (the old red one) to play those racing games. The wheel has a nice feature that it is able to calibrate the wheel position itself through the bundled software and turn the wheel to dead forword position when I plug the power cable..

Unfortunately when I plug the cable recently, the wheel rests at a incorrect position (about 15 degree anti-clockwise from the center) but the software is still "thinking" the wheel is in center position. As it seems there is no manual calibration from the software, I have no idea how to fix the problem.

Does anyone know how to cure this problem ?

Thanks a lot in advance   !

What happens if you turn the wheel full left and then full right? This is how the new MOMO Logitech wheels are calibrated.

For example I say zero degree for straight, -90 deg for full left and +90 deg for full right. ( -90 <-> 0 <-> +90 )

In normal case the wheel rests at zero deg shape and hte computer reads zero deg also. But now the wheel rests at -15 deg and the computer read it as zero.

As a result when I hold the wheel straight, the computer thinks I'm doing a slow right turn (+15 deg). When I turn the wheel to full left (-90 deg), the computer thinks I'm doing mid left (-75 deg) and never able to make full left again. On the other hand the computer thinks I'm only making full righ (+90 deg) before I really turned to that posiotn (+75 deg)

Hmm...

When I FIRST got my MOMO wheel (the red/leather one..), it did slightly lean to the left. the drivers at that moment in time were 'revision 4.11'... Not long after, the '4.11c' came out that were supposed to correct this bug. There was also a small utility that could be found on the wingmanteam website. (wingmanteam is the game peripheral division of logitech).

Now, when my wheel is started, it goes pretty much dead-center. But if I don't tilt it full lock left and then right, it's not *really* calibrated. It seems to know its center, but not it's limits.

As an example, I just load Grand Prix Legends and starts running at, say, zandvoort. I go straigth then make a hard right thru Tarzan curve ; when I straighten out my wheel exiting the corner, it's not anymore dead-center. It's in 'weird calibration world'. The next turn will be quite hard for me to apprehend rightly 'cause I won't know how much my input will be boosted/flattened. -- However, if I stop by the side of the road, go lock-to-lock and then start again, I have a very linear steering.

I suggest you go to the wingmanteam website. Have a look through their FAQs (there's a game faq and a peripheral faq), have a look, too, through their drivers and utils. There is a 'beta' section with stuff that isn't usefull to everyone but still can be to you.

Update the driver, if you still have the one that came on the disc.

Good luck! :D
