It's pretty good :)

I've seen better stuff both gfx and physics wise but it's right up there with the top mods so far.

Really good fun....as ETCC is in real life.;)

Struggling with the installation. Get lots of "Acces Denied" errors. :

Select f1c folder, choose properties and check if anything is set to read only?

Nothing is set to read only. Seems that more people have the same problem on the official forum.

I'll wait till there's a solution. :)

They've made a hotfix, my installation problems are gone noe, only the launcher doesn't work, I can't activate the extra cars. But this looks like fun !!

I love this mod also.

Just started a championship in the SEAT. Qualified 18th out of 20. Managed to get an average start and made a few places but for the 11 laps that followed, it was nose to tail all the way. After a few laps I thought, this can't go on, its too intense. The AI will rear end me sooner or later but they never. One of them even made an amazing outside pass on me. Its so well made, especially the AI.

I would say the only downside is the engine sounds are a bit naff but overall.

FANTASTIC

Hi Knut.

I signed up here last month. Really like this place. Many mature discussions and equally childish stuff too. In good balance. :)

Linus, I thought the engine sounds and other sounds were so well done, they were the best I ever heard in any sim till date, even better than NR2003 with all the addon sounds too. ;)

good mod. The cockpits are excellent, and so far the physics feel pretty good.

I'm new to F1C/Mods, so would appreciate some info.

Does this install alongside F1C with it's own .exe? Just wanna know if it will screw up my existing F1C install :)

It comes with it's own launcher/folders/config files. You'll be able to run it without buggering up the F1s.

I got it the other day. Have to say it is great fun and the FWD cars are excellent for jumping straight in and getting on the pace although I do tend to have some severe understeer probs after a few laps

Hopefully some more Aussies will get this as I'd love to have a run online.

Aye, the FWD cars blister their tyres very quickly if you don't drive them easily. They're great for short 4 or 5 lap sprint races. But after that the Beamers usually spank you.

I am hooked on the quattro Audi's :

I have to say, I still don't like ISI's gfx engine. It only starts to look good on high end machines with FSAA and AF (which I'm lucky enough to have) but then still looks nowhere near as good as the Papy engine and GP4 engine in motion...

If they fixed that and the replay system then I would love F1C and its mods for ever more.

:)

I had a 13 lap race with a front wheel drive car, last 4 laps, tyres were history. Good cars if pitstops used or short races as you say.

Got it downloaded. Quick question tough, what do I do first run main installer or run hotfix? Thanks in advance...

The hotfix is only made for those who have problems with the main installer. So just try to install it, shhould it not work, run the hotfix. :)

A question - why is it so easy to lock the brakes in ETCC but impossible in F1C (for me anyway!). I have anti-lock brakes set to off, but I just can't lock up in F1C.

Different physics, Kiwi. The tyres of an F1 car in F1C are maybe programmed with too much grip?

If anyone's online, I'm going to create a game at Donnington, password is "slowpoke".

I always lock the brakes in F1C!! Unless anti-lock brakes is somehow actually on or you have a controller travel issue you should definitely be able to lock them up.

Yeah - I had wondered about the controller. Anti Lock brakes are definitely off & as I say, I only have to tap the brakes to lock up in ETCC. Same controller setups for both games. I'll do some checking tonight.

I downloaded and tried it last night. OMG... so much fun. I enjoy this more than the GT 2002 add-on. Try driving those cars at Knockhill, it is bloody amazing.

I think from memory I saw that you can import your settings from F1C into ETCC. Did you do this or did you recalibrate them again for ETCC?

Fun game. Crashes at the 3rd round of the championship for me every time but other than that a good time. Better physics than F1C

Derbris:

You need to change your GT_ETC03.gdb file (located in your ETC03Seasondata folder) and replace Pergusa with another track or take it off the calendar. The RSR people will be releasing Pergusa and Anderstorp soon. Make sure you back up yoru .gdb file before you modify it.

I imported the settings from F1C. Checked my controller rates - all at 50%. Still can't lock the brakes! Any other suggestions?

I just spent 15 hours over the last 4 days downloading this mod on my 56k dial-up (and quite a bit on phone charges too), and when I try and run the installer I get this:

'The instruction at "0x77f52cd0" referenced memory at "0x00004150". The memory could not be "written".'

I've tried using the hotfix as well but that has not helped. I'm guessing that the only way to fix this is to download the mod again but that's going to cost me a lot so i'm hoping that someone may have some suggestions?

If not, would it please be possible for somebody to burn the mod and the latest patch onto a CD and post it to me? I would cover all your costs of course. Please help I am desperate to try the ETCC after reading such good things about it on this thread and others!
