I finallybought a new pc and tried loading on F1 99-02 and It won't load. I click to start and it goes black for a moment and then back to desktop.
I downloaded the latest nvidia driver 52.16 or whatever but no difference.
Here are the specs of the pc. Can anyone offer so advice so I can get racing again?
HP
P4 2.8
1024 Ram
nvidia geForce 4 mmx 440
Cheers
Matt

I know i had a problem with NeedForSpeed Underground because of the language settings in win2k/winXP. It might be the same for F1 challenge. My problem with NFSU is because of my rather, errm.. "borrowed" copy isn't from the same region as i have set in my controlpanel..

Or like hittnig a reset button on the pc

Btw, why buy such a fast machine and then such an "old" and slow videocard?

OK to answer your questions.
I have not tried the older drivers yet. I have tried the official advice from EA but that hasn't worked.
The 64 Meg GeForce 4 Mx440 card came with the HP PC I bought.
I do have the latest version of DX9
And to answer Ten Tenths' of course I bought F1 99-02 and have registered it with EA, doesn't everybody?

Download the file, save it somewhere. Go to control panel -> software and remove the Nvidia Display drivers. When it asks to reboot, do so.
When the Windows is started again, it will wine about the display drivers. Ignore that. Look for the downloaded file and run it, drivers will be installed.
