I´m new on board and may i ask, if anyone know where a Formula Vee register existed, which races and times or so. It doesn´t a matter if Europe or USA. Anyway i search history sources about Formula Vee (Original Vee, not Supervee!)
Thanks

I think I'm right in saying that here in Australia the original Vee regs are still very closely adhered to...

Hello all!
Thx for your warm reply! And yes you are right! The Australians has in my mind the closest original vee regs of world! (only the gutted generator and 4 in 1 exhaust , but it doesn´t a matter)

Thx for your links too, but i know this really good sites. I search for a register with FV-races in past, europe or us or other vee countrys. FVee is by far one of the most exciting race series ever, of course with the original rules (ca. 55 horsepower!) and one of the cheapest. Again i´m really glad to be member of this wonderful board!

And John Fabieszewski is putting together a register of historic Vees. You should be able to contact him via the NSW Association. Even my old man's car has turned up!

As to my health - I am out of Hospital, back on the treadmill and am on a chemotherapy treatment course which will, in early 2004, be augmented by radiotherapy. I am greatly heartened by the amazing and wonderful support which my family and I have received from so many. Thank you all!

Oz FV almost universally used 1192 40hp from the inception of the Formula here in 1965. Some tried 36hp (same 1192cc capacity) but none were competitive. My original late 1965-built and 1966 developed Rennmax (originally branded Cee Bee) was the leading car in NSW when I bought it in September '65, from Bob Young. It, after various owners, has resided in my garage since early 1978.

Hello Damon!
At first best wishes to your healthy. I hope you´re in future in finest constitution.
Yes, some tried in 60´the transmission from the 36 hp (30 DIN HP) beetle, cause they eat less hp (1. gearnot synchron) They used unstead from the current beetle
the fan (16 blade instead 28) from the first beetle! That gave 2 more hp.
Many secrets took in the Vee-engine..
Formula vee race especially in the 60´is my favourite races, cause they was so exciting. Unfortunately saw i the last Fvee race (not the original rules) in the early 70´. Supervee was definitely the end of the Original F-vee movement, cause this was racing for the professionell racer and bigger pockets.
