I know this has been discussed before, but i can't find the thread. My question is, did FIA accept this suspension system or not. I seems to remember that I have readen somewhere that fia didn't accept this system. Can someone please help me.

I'm not an expert, but hey that doesn't stop others from posting

OPT stands for something that translates to Optimum Contact Patch (I think), a quick search should give u more details.

Click on search and type in "OPT"....How hard can it be?

Anyway, from an AtlasF1 article:

While the gains are said to be considerable, no race debut for the set up was planned this year and recently the FIA have indicated to Michelin and Renault the set up would not be accepted in Formula One as the rules currently stand, closing a potential advantage for the two companies.
