Hi

Has anyone got any experience of UK-based companies offering F1 holidays? A group of us are hoping/saving to go to a Grand Prix this summer (probably Indianapolis). For various reasons, we'd like to go with a tour company, rather than organise it ourselves. Any thoughts?

when i first went to silverstone in 01 i used a tour company and they were good except i didnt like there timetable of getting to the circuit and back to the hotel to me it was rather restictive and would rather have went it alone.

but havent used them for going a long distance trip but page and moy are supposed to be the best

I have used Page and Moy many times, for complete packages and "Ticket Only", meeting up with a rep at their hotel near the circuit to collect my tickets. Everything has always been fine, with no complaints at all.

I used Page and Moy for Spa in 2002 and everything was perfectly organised and they were able to park close to the circuit. I had no problems at all. They even made sure that the hotel produced breakfast early enough in the morning for you to eat before leaving for the circuit. I'd certainly recommend them.

The only problem is the one fi mentions which is having to get back to the coach for a certain time. You can sometimes negotiate this though as they have loads of coaches and some leave at different times.

I'm about to take my 4th tour with Page & Moy this year and I've always been happy with the service. I can't say the timing of the coach departures has ever bothered me that much but maybe I've never been that far from the coach!

You could definitely save money in theory by booking it yourself, but I had a nightmare with double booked hotels in Barcelona 3 years ago and I've stuck with the tours since then.
