Folks,

I am going to be in London on the day of the race at Imola.

Can anyone suggest where I might be able to go to catch the race on TV. I was thinking of a local that will have it on the television. I would like to share an F1 race with people that are fans - difficult to find here in the U.S.

I am going to be staying in the Kensington area - but I have no problem taking the underground if a suggested venue is appealing.

Thanks in advance.

Brian

Isn't there a F1 cafe?
I should really know this since I spent so many years there and even now I'm not too far

The thing is most pubs bars don't open till around noon

You could always try http://www.cafegrandprix.com/ just next to Green Park tube station.

I have walked by many times, and it looks a bit posh, but very nice.

I have no idea if they show all the grand prix, but I know they do show some. You could contact them and check it out.

Having lived in London for the last ten years, I have never been to a pub to watch a race (although I do like to down a few pints, usually with some of my friends, around at my house).

If anyone else knows of any pubs in London that show the races, I would love to know...

I watched a CART race last year at The Sports Cafe while on holiday from the US. It was a Sunday evening and the place was reasonably busy but I was able to find an empty corner at their back bar. They were more than happy to dial up the race for me. I also enjoyed the Coulthard Canon Williams F1 car hanging in the place. Nice touch.

best--

Sports Cafe is an excellent place to watch the race. And it's decently priced for London for food and drink.

Seeing as you'll be in Kensington, if you are on expense acct, make sure you take dinner at Bibendum. Fun art and posters of Bibendum (Michelin man). Great food. Quite expensive. Also, good Indian restaurant nearby (Star of India).

yeah but the wing was bent out of shape and some stickers were missing... and it was dusty as hell.... and I thought it was a Hill car... I must've not looked very closely =).
