Here's vid how to do that too (25mb) :

We replaced our scratched disk and played GT4 last weekend. I still haven't won gold on the last of the A level: the second highest level: at La Sarth. If I get good grip at the first right turn, I tend to loose grip again befoe the back main straight. Any tips would be appreciated: I find La Sarth a very tedious test!
I found a cheat on the 'ring mission, quite by accident. Literally! I am not sure of the name of the corner, but at the 'ring you start, do a left and a right, then wind leftish, do a right/left and charge up the hill, and then have a fast open right hander, followed by a faster left hander, then brake and go round some curbing and go up and down and then up a hill, then there is a downhill right hander, and a sharp left/right corner. The cheat is there: when you come over the hill for the right hander, start the right hander but then just go on straight across the grass, and cut off the whole left right chicane corner ... that big feeling McLaren just walzes over the grass no worries, like a landcruiser - errh M class. I think it saves maybe 2 seconds ...
Is there some sort of award for finding such a great cheat?

I did myself so when first time I got gold.
Le Sarthe.
Firts right 'Tertre Rouge' goes neat with gear 4, harpin after Mulsanne is tricky because car doesn't have tc.
Use second or third gear to accelerate SMOOTH, without any burn out. Same for
curves of 'Indianapolis' and 'Arnage'. By skidding your tires you lose several seconds.

No, but I'll give you this trophy for your magnificent description of the first section of the 'Ring. Pay no attention to the little gold-colored man holding a bowling ball.Originally posted by Melbourne Park

I have to admit that I used that cheat to achieve gold. In fact, I cheated in another spot on that lap too. I could only miss that medal by a few seconds so many times before it started to drive me up the wall.

Thanks for the advise.
OK I had thought to try 4th: I think I did once. I have tried that gold many times: I had thought its easier to get a final event gold when all the other tests are already gold. But I got the final 'Ring one easily (that Cossie MB race car is a hoot, it seems perfectly setup for the 'ring) and I have not done all the golds in the S yet. So my feeling that it was easier to get a final gold must have been caused by my own mental weakness!
The Le Sarth test, I try it 3 times, then I give up in annoyance and go on to the game.
At 'Indianapolis', should you cut the (left) corner?
For me the game is the opposite of real life. In the game, I do fast corners with ease ( I use a wheel) but I am poor at precesion braking, strange because in real life braking was a strength. But in real life, fast corners are what are very scary ...

Thanks for the trophy! I shall put it on display it in the trophy room, pride of place.
Is there a gold coloured man with a bowling ball?
Another cheat! wow!
On another matter, what is the best car to do a fast lap of the 'ring? I tried a Nissan race car, but was 6:12 ... I may be faster now though. I am wondering (besides a booring F1 car although that might be interesting) is there a good car for a fast lap of the 'ring with a good setup that I may borrow?
I promise I will not hurt it.

Good:
+ Game will be free to download for ps3
+ It 'has' Ferraris
Bad
- It will have no cars or tracks
- you have to download cars and tracks
- one car of 750 will cost from 30 eurocents to 70 eurocents
- one track will cost from 1.3 euro to 3 euro
additional Good:
+ you don't have to buy all Skylines if you are fine with one.
+ you can ditch those crappy concept 'city cars' by not downloading them

It sounds like a new excuse for GT5 being late. I would love to see the sales and revenue charts for a GT game, I imagine they would make lots of money in the first 6 months, and then they would run fairly dry until the next game comes out. I don't know why they don't increase their resources and bring out games more often?
I wonder if it's possable to download a car or track, and then provide it to another PS3? Will they have a second hand market, so you can also sell cars you no longer like?

looks like we'll have to wait for GT5
Expected 2008: that means 2009, late.
How are the driver games on the X360? I get annoyed having to wait so long for another game.
The last thing I did with GT4 (some time ago now) was see how fast I could go round the Nordschliefe for in under $100,000. Quite good fun ...
