I have a problem w/ my USB Logitech Wingman Formula GP wheel (not force-feedback type)
I have Windows XP, Athlon XP2600, 512 megs RAM.

After running F1C for a few minutes, the accelerator gets stuck at 20-30%, even of i'm not depressing or even touching the pedal.
This makes the game unplayable, given I always have trouble braking if accelerator is always at 30% and car always moving.
I tried everything, downloaded driver 4.2, 4.25 and 4.3 and nothing helped and calibration clean-up utility I got from Logitech.com. Nothing helped.
Does anyone know what is happening? Is there a patch or workaround?
TIA!

Make sure the RJ11 connector that connects the peadl cable to the main unit isn't faulty. I've seen this on one before and it's a pain. In the one I have seen all that was needed was to bend the cable around the main unit a bit to get a good connection.

Just out of curiousity ... do you have the same problem if you play on Gp4 or some other sim?

regards,

ps: I had the same problem in F1 99, but in Nascar Racing Season 03 there was not such problem. Everytime i get into F1 99 on the controls menu, the red bars indicate like if there were pressed like 30% the accel and the brake. I just press/depress and that is it, back to normal.

Cannot answer that question...I only play EA Sports F1C.

I throw in my question here :)

I have a old Logitech Wingman Formula with Gameport connection and use Windows XP. I got it to work perfect last year but I have now reinstalled Windows XP and now I cant find the same driver I used before in the driver list. I can find the driver in the registry (I think), "Logitech WingMan Formula (ADI)" (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMControlSet001ControlMed iaPropertiesPrivatePropertiesJoystickOEMVID_046D &PID_0007). But how do I make this driver selectable in the Game Controls menu?
I have tried to reinstall the logitech drivers 3 times.

Brutto, we should try and arrange a multiplayer game online sometime.

I don't know how things work with Logitech but did you try a utility called DXTweak to calibrate Y-axis?

Sandeep, I just went to controller settings, S1 in my case, and made the deadzone 28%-30% for my accelerator axis. Like this, the first 30% depression, which is where I'm having problems, is ignored. Not sure if its the best fix to be honest, but I don't want to buy a new wheel just yet.

Anyways, I must say that F1C is a great winter game for when there is not outdoor karting to be done. :)

Sounds like you need to take your pedal assembly apart and see if there's something mechanically wrong.
