OK experts, lets see who gets what, tell me "Who am I/Who was I?" (NOTE ANSWER may or may not be deceased).

1 "McLaren offered me a very lucrative multi million dollar contract to run the 1980 season, but seeing as the car was proablly a dog, I stayed retired" Who was I?

2 "I sat fastest lap in my only F1 race, which was run in my home country in a herendous downpour that also decided the Championship that season". Who was I?

3 "I am one reason that Honda left Williams. Honda wanted me a seat in F1 and Williams did not me to drive for them. I did get a drive for 1988, but it was not with Williams".

4 "I once made the comment "Areodynamics are for people with bad engines". Who was I?

5 "Before coming to F1, I was Bobby Rahals engineer in CART. I later said that I never really had any chemistry with any driver as I did with Rahal, and we are still close friends today". Who was I?

6. "I was a future NASCAR driver who beat Ayrton Senna to win the World Karting title" Who was I?

7. "Before becoming one of the top designers in F1, I designed Jim Hall's Penzoil special which won the 1980 Indy 500". Who was I?

8. "I scored the first victory for the works MARCH team". Who was I?

9. "We were the company who paid Jackie Stewart's salary the whole time he spent at Tyrrell, if we didn't Ferrari would have signed him" Who were we?

Have fun!

Q4: It has to be Enzo Ferrari.

I think he also made comments something like "The horse(engine) has to be infront of the driver".

Okay, let's have a try from the top of my head. Here are the ones I think I know...

1. Niki Lauda

3. Satoru Nakajima

4. Enzo Ferrari (or maybe Mauro Forghieri actually)

7. John Barnard

9. Matra

As for the other ones, I simply have no cleu! :D

Actually in Question 2 I believe you're looking for Masahiro Hasemi. But he actually did NOT set the fastest lap :-)

There was a timing error, and Hasemi was incorrectly credited with the fastest lap in the record book.

#1: James Hunt? There were rumors as late as 1981 that he had turned down various lucrative offers.

#8: Ronnie Peterson?

#9: Elf?

#2: I've read about this, but can't think of the name. Apparently the team made a pit stop and set up the car with the goal of setting fastest lap. It obviously worked, otherwise you'd have a different question as #2.... :)

A. Satoru Nakajima

4 "I once made the comment "Areodynamics are for people with bad engines". Who
was I?

A. Ferrari
5 "Before coming to F1, I was Bobby Rahals engineer in CART. I later said that I

I think that all the answers are out there so here goes:

1. James Hunt, who in hiensight, did a good thing when we think about the horrible 1980 car that Prost and Watson had so many faulires in. (Wonder if he had taken it, where would Prost be?)

2. Masahiro Hasemi 1976 Japan

3.Satoru Nakajima, who landed a seat with Lotus alongside Senna and for 1988 stayed at Lotus with Piquet.

4. Ferrari

5. Adrain Newey, who worked with Rahal before MARCH sent him over to F1 from CART.

6. Lake Speed

7. John Barnard

8. Vittorio Brambilla, Petterson's victory would come a year later. Stewarts win in 1970 was not the works team, but the Tyrrell team. Unbeleavible that after so many entries, MARCH only has 3 victories in their history.

9. Ford payed Jackie's salary the whole time he was at Tyrrell. Matra did introduce Tyrrell to Elf, but if it wasn't for Ford, Jackie would have proablly spent most of his career at Ferrari. (or at least someone other than Tyrrell).

10. Peter Revson, who after winning two GP's in 73 for McLaren, was killed in 1974 after assuming team leader status for the US Shawdow tema.

Got one more here.

"One year I drove for 2 teams, one of which won the Drivers title, and the other won the Constructor's."
