Here are the correct guesses for round 2. The percentage in the brackets describes how many of the entrants picked the correct option.

Qualifying duels: Outcome: Worth (points)

1	Ferrari - Renault	1 (77 %) 1.23

2	Williams – BAR X (25 %) 1.75

3	McLaren – Jaguar	X (39 %) 1.61

4	Sauber – Toyota X (39 %) 1.61

5	Jordan – Minardi	X (16 %) 1.84

6	Sauber – Jaguar X (68 %) 1.32

Total for qualifying duels: 9.36

Race duels:

7	Ferrari - Renault	1 (64 %) 1.36

8	Williams – BAR 1 (68 %) 1.32

9	McLaren – Jaguar	1 (52 %) 1.48

10	Sauber – Toyota X (18 %) 1.82

11	Jordan – Minardi	X (34 %) 1.66

12	Sauber – Jaguar X (70 %) 1.30

Total for race duels: 8.93

Overall maximum score 18.29

Observations:
Following an almost no-show at Albert Park, Xs strike back in full force – catching numerous players by surprise. In general, predicting a sweep for any team proves risky, especially in qualifying. And underrating Minardi (or overrating Jordan’s ability to trip up) claims plenty of victims too. Still, either you lot are improving or this was an easier round than the first one, as the average score was rather high (44.2 % of the maximum as opposed to 30.3 % for round 1).

Moving on to qualifying. No one manages a perfect qual result but Alapan makes a nice comeback from Melbourne’s back-of-the-grid slot snatching the pole right under the noses of dnbn and Makarias who tie at P2. All three are a correct guess ahead of the best of the rest, i.e. Crazy Canuck, Pine and Viss1 who complete the top 6 with identical qualifying efforts.

And what does this mean for the overall scores of round 2? Well, it means that congrats are in order for dnbn who continues his excellent form (4th in Melbourne) and takes over from ron to become the second-ever F1 Pools race winner. Makarias narrowly beats Crazy Canuck for P2. No podium but respectable points finishes for TT6, Schuting Star, rich42, kismet and LB as well. For reference, the popular guess 111 11X 111 11X would’ve been worth 8.00 points.

I've done my best to avoid mistakes but if you spot one (or several), PM me and I'll fix it asap.

Congrats to everyone who did well, dnbn in particular! For others, better luck next time.

I’ll be back with a new thread for round 3 guesses in due time.
