That's what we should do: send a PM do BR, see if he will go on with the thing or not.....

Done that.... although it was more of an offer to help.

I'd prefer it it BR actually came out and officially said something. I fully understand if his circumstances have changed but it's the silence that's killing me.

... neither am willing to throw away my winning outfit.

But the Flusher is so close to a breakthrough!;)

The Flusher is closer to a breakdown than a breakthrough....

If anyone were to take-over the role of commissioner i'd put forward Sticky as he seems from what i've seen to know most about the game of the lot of us. Oh well

Hello Everyone

Right, serious grovelling apology time from me I think.

As some of you may or may not know, I began working recently and this, coupled with a hoped return to real life motorsport (money, medical and machine pending) have left me pretty short of time. The FAWC has suffered due to this, something I must apologise for (and should have done a great deal sooner obviously).

If I am entirely honest, the workload of the FAWC isn't something I can realistically continue with, free time is at a premium at the moment, and sitting in front of a PC screen working out the maths, writing reports or running races isn't something I can continue with. Even for people as delightful as you lot who have been so kind and patient with me.

I really do hate to let you all down, but I started FAWC during a point in my life where FAWC was pretty much the only thing going on. It grew larger than I had envisioned and with that growth, which made it so appealling and diverse, came a lot more work. Now that real life has caught up with me to some extent, FAWC and me aren't compatible anymore.

I am truely very very sorry for messing you all about this long. It was my own spinelessness that led me not to post in this threat for too long. I realise I should've bitten the bullet on this one a lot earlier. And for that, as well as a great many other things I apologise.

As for appointing a 2nd Commissioner, if you lot with the game to continue I would be delighted to pass the torch to someone else. However that person would have to know what it is that they are taking on. The job, while a rewarding and interesting one, can be very long winded and tiring when it comes down to the minutae of FAWC running. If anyone else feels that they can give it a go, I will be happy to write them a "My first FAWC Running" guide, and send them all the necessary history and documentation that they will need.

Who that person is, if indeed there is one, must be your decision guys.

With all due respect Rob, I just don't trust you enough to be involved in a championship you're running. I don't even know why, I just don't think it's a good idea.

Moving ahead though, I'll start a new thread to go over this. Thanks for posting BR and letting us know.

So, I cast my vote to Smithy as the Commissioneer, if he's OK with it.

Honestly, as much as I would like to help myself, I don't think I will have enough free time.

Further, IMHO, we should cancel the last round of the First season, and start a brand new second FAWC season instead. What do you think?

The only undisputed
CHAMPIOOOOOON
in season one

:D

Thanks BR

I tried putting up that FAWCix thing in a similar situation as you (I'd just graduated and was without a job) and just maintaining that became too much work after the first handful of rounds. Only I didn't have the persistance to keep on trying anyway. You put all you got into this mate, great fun and top job
