What is the best way to get from AMS to SPA? Train?
Can I travel back and forth from AMS to Spa each day? How long is the trip?
If it is too long of a trip where can I stay? I am not much of a camper.
Is there a train from Spa to Berlin, my next destination after Spa.
Any other help is appreciated.
Thanks again,
John

The best way to get from Amsterdam to Spa is to hire a car and drive there. It would take you about 6 hours or so I reckon, so it would not be an option to commute every day. You can also take a train from Amsterdam to Brussels, change there to Liege or Verviers and change trains again for Spa (not sure whether tiny Spa actually has a train station?

If you haven't booked accommodation yet for Spa it will be VERY hard to find it now. I tried booking accommodation in Jan around the Spa/Verviers area and it was booked solid already. Your best bet at this stage would be looking at Liege (as I did) or Brussels.
As for the route from Spa to Berlin, again Spa is really small so there won't be any Berlin trains going from there. Definitely from Brussels or maybe Liege, although you will probably have to change trains a couple of times.
Depending on your budget, you could fly from Brussels to Berlin, there are so many budget airlines nowadays, I'm sure Easyjet or Ryanair have routes from Brussels to Berlin, it won't break the bank and it's quick. There will also be Eurolines coaches going from Brussels to Berlin, it is cheap but probably takes you at least a day to get there.
Hope this helps a bit, have fun at the Spa race
