Can anyone shed any light on why Jordan were at Kemble Airfield today with a transporter and numerous personnel, a tent and what looks like the EJ14 underneath???

I know Mclaren and Arrows have used the Gloucestershire Airbase before for straight-line testing, but I have never seen Jordan here before? Surely there is some closer straight testing grounds to Silverstone???

Just noticed them as I drove past going to work, was intrigued!

Probably straightline testing, I don't think that airbase has an F1 testing license

What's also interesting is that, if they're really testing there, they break the testingban, which is nothing more than a gentleman's agreement anyway.

Oh maybe it is an August test ban then. I thought it was only the three weeks between Hungary and Germany

The test-"ban" is six weeks this year, isn't it? No proper testing before the week after Spa.

McLaren could do some mileage with their new wing/nose.

A shakedown is NOT considered testing. And to avoid loooooooooooooong shakedowns there is a limit stablished in 50km. So if you run a car 50 km it's not considered testing.
