Is there a way to change the name of a thread? I started a thread back in 2009 on US manufacturer Francis McNamara, but the title of the thread is misspelt as Frances McNamara - I would like to change it to Francis.

Only moderators can change titles, Graham. I've done that one for you.

How do you make the search work?  I have tried several ways inc the Heading, Author and month and it comes back with NOTHING.

This has been a problem for a long while.

The search facility did become much less user-friendly following the software upgrade in 2013. Although the tech people did fix some of the faults, it still does some very weird things which we now have to live with.

Having said that, it will usually produce results, for me anyway, provided I'm careful in my choice of keywords to enter. Lee, could you perhaps give us an example of something you're trying to find, and how you went about it. I know you're not the only one who's had this problem, so this might help quite a few of us.

Edited to add: the search facility is currently not working at all. This has happened a couple of times in recent months and is extremely annoying. I gather the tech team haven't yet found out what is causing this regular problem to occur, but they're working on it.
