Does anybody notice one strange thing with Jean Todt: each his fingertip and nail on both hands wrapped by small piece of plaster. Permanently and everywhere. For example, picture from last race in China - http://www.grandprix...odtyeoh1-lg.jpg. I googled for answer but couldn't find nothing. What do you think (or know) about it?

He chewed too much his nails (nervousness).
So this is good stop-gap measure...

It's to stop him chewing his nails. I guess it works for him.

He doesn't want to let his fingerprints anywhere, you know, people in Formula 1 are little bit paranoid :)

How can he possibly be chewing his nails when that microphone is always so close to his mouth?

You know what's interesting. If you pick up this months F1 Racing mag. Matt Bishop interviews JT and you'll notice that his fingers are ALWAYS wrapped not just on a grand prix weekend(ie.at the office, etc) I can understand wrapping them on race day because of nerves but at Fiorano answering Bishop's questions seems quite strange. It's funny. Not one exposed finger in the whole spread!!

He moonlights as a professional wrestler. Notice he always has elbowpads and kneepads on too? And when Ferrari loses, I've heard he superplexes Ross onto a table.

Maybe he always paints his nails red and Ferrari's PR department tought that might not make the best impression?

or he's like that famous guitarist (randy rhoads? not sure...) who always wore thimbles because he'd lost the tips of his fingers in an accident, and the bones were very close to the skin on the truncated ends. he even wore them when playing guitar, on the fret hand
