funny how I have become such a large fan of the man even though I have seen only one clip of him (the dijon 79 battle)

You've not seen the Zandvoort epic? Or the Monaco scrap? Or the Jarama battle? Or the Imola shunt?

To Nige's Video store with you! AT ONCE!

Hmmmm, tricky. No sure fire way off the tope of my head. It might just be worth having a scout about though.

Boy that funeral procession was tough to look at again. To feel again. Seeing the little Jacques holding Jody Scheckter's hand, looking at his mom as they entered the church...

removed link by request. my apologies.

you will need a bittorrent client http://internap.dl.s...in32-v2.6.9.exe and hopefully a broadband connection to download. some great videos of Gilles and his counterparts of the day and many classic races.

Please remove the link. I've said it many times on F1RW. I thank you all for promoting my site, but please....use BB Codes instead. We don't wanna end up like F1Onboard and UKF1.

So if Chauney reads this message, remove the link ASAP and change it in BB Codes.

Ah Ti-Gilles! ;) ...So many great memorable souvenirs you’ve left us…Thx m8!
And thanks “Bluesmoke” for bringing up this thread…

As for clips on Villeneuve, I have a couple videos available (I’ve got also a few good anecdotes I got from souvenirs & contacts with the Villeneuve Museum, but that’s another story).

So, besides the usual Villeneuve’s clips available on the Net, here’s a few that I think are a little rarer:
- F1 - Gilles Villeneuve Tributo.asf
32Mb / 6’18” / 384x288
(Highlights from his F1 career with nice “melo-dramatic” background music / was made by “www.seasonf1.com”)

- Gilles Villeneuve - 'Il Temerario' ('La storia di Gilles Villeneuve') - [DIVX - ITA].avi
286Mb / 26’32” / 720x544
(Good Italian documentary made by “FABRI Video-Fuorigiri”/Italia / Highlights from his F1 career)

- Gilles Villeneuve - ('Gli anni di Gilles Villeneuve') - SFIDE prod. - RAI TV - [DIVX - ITA].avi
718Mb / 56’02” / 544x400 (Hi-res)
(Great Italian documentary from SFIDE Series on RAI TV / many interviews, highlights from his F1 career, but also some footage from his racing in snowmobile, F-Ford & F-Atlantic / good “non-racing” footages also / nice selection of music from various styles)

- F1 (1979) - Monaco GP [Review].avi
19Mb / 3’24” / 320x240
(Highlights from the 79’ Monte-Carlo race / Yummy, Ferrari’s Flat12 is pure music echoing in the streets of Monaco...hehe!)

- F1 (1979) - Dutch GP [Review].avi
14Mb / 3’37” / 320x240
(Highlights from the 79’ Zandvoort race / It shows Gilles’ infamous “3 wheel temerity”, but unfortunately, his memorable outside pass @ ‘Tarzan’ on Jones isn’t shown  )

- Gilles Villeneuve (Ferrari Turbo 1981) vs F104 fighter plane.wmv
2Mb / 1’14” / 320x240

If there’s some interest in those clips, I’ll see what I can do.
I saw “EnzoF1” great website, & registered to it(hope it’s Ok Enzo?), so I guess that would be the best place to upload the videos if some people are interested?

Cheers!
