Pre WW2 there was a lot of overlap between cars and motor-cycle racing so I thought I would try to find out more about the 'bike side. My "googling" has not been very succesful in finding good sites. (unlike the cars of,course). Can anyone direct me to good sites for motor cycle racing history, other than the TT which seems very well covered
Thanks RAP

Can't help much, but here's one I've got bookmarked - a good site on the history of the Ulster GP:-

I asked a similar question a while back and was guided to

http://www.chez.com/...re-sommaire.htm

which covers every major Grand Prix from the nineteenth century to 1948 (the last year before the World Championship). It's all in French, but that's no great hardship when you're looking at results lists.

I have assembled a bunch of motorcycle racing links here:
http://www.sportnetw...180/st13081.htm

So far, there isn’t so much on the historical side, but let me know if you find anything further and I’ll make sure to add it.

From 1924-1937 the European Championship was based on 1 selected MCGP from a country , the winners being the EU champions.

From 1938-1939 the EU was a series of races , but interrupted by the WWII

From 1947-1948 the EU again was a series.

The link to that French results site no longer works. The home page is now here:
