Hey Duncan, I wish there was a way for me to see Wade Carter's in - car footage. It is a great learning tool. I have in car footage from three other cars as trading materials !
Dave Handy is a great driver and great guy and would not have passed on purpose under yellow,
but things do happen fast out there and mistakes are made every lap. There is no such thing as a perfect lap.
It is amazing how many TNFers were there and we did not meet. Oh well, next year then.

I agree, there were passes under yellow but I doubt that they were on purpose. There was not suppose to be any passing until after the first turn either but I was in the middle of the passing so I know that happened. All in all, the racing was still safe and well organized.

Yes Nick, that was fun. I'm ready to do it again, but we will have to wait. Lola is the featured
mark for 2008 hopefully.

Johan, I'll get my kids to burn you a copy of the disc, what footage do you have?

I have my in-car video (Lola T70 3b coupe), Toby Beans (Lola T70 3b coupe), Pat Hogans (Lola T70 MK III), and Dan Liepetz (Lola T163). My camera got all wet (long story) but I think I have another camera that will play the digital tapes well enough to make a VHS cassete. regardless, watching Toby's video is especially exciting because he can actually drive the wheels off that car.

Johan,

I would love a copy of that as well if there was anyway possible. I was so busy during the weekend with two cars that I barely got to take pictures let alone any video. Let me know if it is possible to get a copy.

Nick, I have not made a copy yet to copy. What I have is three different types of unlabeled tapes in a drawer in the bus that is filled with 100 tapes form other races and a wedding or two with a birthday party thrown in. I guess it is hard to find the time to edit and organize that stuff.
Eventually I'll have something to share.

Here is Carl Haas's crew in the day. Drivers door Colin Riley in the middle Gil Munz and at the back Ike Smith in their youth. This photo was taken in North Dakota the Team was heading to Edmonton for a CanAm Race. A photographer in the building next to the restaurant took this picture. Photo lent to site by Ike Smith

Jerry,

You really have some great photos and some fantastic memories. We all appreciate you sharing them with us. Do you live in the southern California area? It would be a real pleasure to meet you someday.
