Same thing happened to a Prost in warm-up. De la Rosa damaged his car on the piece of bodywork.

This happened yo Jos in testing in Monza too. You'd figure they'd pay extra attention to these things.

He drove like this from lap 10 on, losing top speed and having very bad oversteer.

Yeah, it was too bad it happened. He looked rather strong in the beginning of the race, getting up to 6th position, only to have his car doing one of it's slow detoriation runs...:(

Actually, PeaQ, do you see the little metal tube coming out of the airbox? They put it in to let more air through to the gearbox. Seems to have worked, but now something else breaks.

Big news just in:
Chello is considering cancelling their sponsorship because they feel that they are not being respect by the team through this incident. :)

They had their name on the bit of bodywork that fell off, right?

Jst curious... wouldn't his car be out of spec at the end of the race? If he had finished would he have been penalized?

Luckily, since it was Jos in the rain there was no chance of him finishing...;)

It was a trade mark race for him and he finished spectacularly, with gravel flying all over the place.

Smooth, I don't thinks so, as the performance of the car was certainly not enhanched with the missing bodywork.

Neither was the Ferrai's last year, or DC's car in Brazil, or Mika's car in Austria ;) But as Jos can't have any effect on the championships (unless he crashes someone out) they wouldn't bother.....

Bob, I gave JVer an 8.5 for that finish.
But the winner was JVil who got a 9.9 for that stunning triple. :D

If JV gets 9.9, surely 10.0 must go to the Minardi that avodied the aftermath of the Diniz-Alesi incident, neatly avoiding a flying tire but nearly wiping out someone else???
