I have seen this photo just once before (can't remember where) of Chunky on the airstrip at Hethel (I presume), standing alongside the company plane, a twin-prop, maybe a Piper Commanche? It would be around 1973 I'm thinking, as the aircraft is decked out completely in JPS livery, and has the registration number 'G-PRIX', which I think is just brilliant. Can anyone either post that photo here or e-mail it to me?? Of course, the other question I now need answering is, where is she now?? Anyone?

Gary
The photo that you are talking about is in "Colin Chapman, The Man and his Cars; The Authorised Biography" by Gerard 'Jabby' Crombac.
It's on page 345.
I don't have any way of scanning it and sending it to you.

well...........after a little googling atthe Civil Aircraft Authority website reveals that a Cessna 414A was registered with this number on 9th June 1978 and was de-registered on 24th Janury 1983 as the aircraft was transferred to the USA.

Thanks to ImageShack. The picture is an uncredited image from Gerard Crombac's "Colin Chapman - The Man and his Cars" I will be happy to remove this if asked.

So this must be the plane which flew Ronnie's coffin to Sweden, and 6 weeks later Gunnar Nilsson's.
