I don’t know if this has been discussed in the very long thread devoted to GT4 but I have a Logitech momo wheel, the pc one, which I was using trouble free with GT3. I was wondering if anyone got this to work with the new game.

When I start up the game the two leds on the wheels face come on and wheel moves all the way left and right by itself, which I guess is some type of calibration, but when the game gets going it is pretty much dead stick.

I tried going to the options menu in gran turismo mode and messing with the different wheels that are listed but there seems to be no response by the game. This seems odd to me because the wheel worked with GT3.

Any suggestions or does my nice momo wheel go to ebay?

I have a red MOMO and it bahaves the same way you're describing. I did some googling and found that it will not work in GT4. I used mine in GT3 too.

Another thing that sucks about console gaming, very restricted platform.

More info at Race Sim Central.

According to this review, the MOMO is not supported:

"Lastly, my comment from the GT3 review still applies here: the game loses at least 10% in the final verdict if not for force feedback steering wheel support. We now have a problem, because GT4 does not support the Logitech MOMO Force. Although the MOMO Force is not an officially PS2 licensed steering wheel, Logitech’s development team has worked hard to ensure that their SDK supports all wheels possible – most modern PS2 games work great with the MOMO Force. What bothers me is that the removal of MOMO Force support in GT4 was an intentional decision made by Sony requiring actually more effort to take it out than to keep it in. I’m all for fair capitalism markets, and I recognize that Gran Turismo fans aren’t entitled to MOMO Force support but there is a distinction between not investing the development time to support a force feedback wheel and investing an additional effort to remove support for non-Sony-licensed products, particularly when an alternative isn’t available."
