BTW, cheers for everyone's setup help. I've managed to cut 5s from my time, mainly from brakes and just pounding around the track. I finally broke into the 1:17s (only just!) - I simply can't imagine going 1.3s quicker.

Well I'm doing about 194mph when I hit the brakes around or just inside the 100m mark then floor the throttle as soon as you release the brakes. If you can get a little tail slide to help turn in then thats perfect, but I've only managed that 'by accident' a few times.

T3 - 21.034
T4 - 16.619
Final - 1:16.613
A very solid lap, could've been quicker though. I had a very nice exit from the first hairpin. I took the first chicane very well, and only kissed the dirt with my righthand side wheels. I hustled the car through the 100R very quickly, but I hit the brakes a little too late and missed the apex into the second hairpin. Luckily, I was still able to get the power down quite well and get a good run down towards the second chicane, where I had a nice entry over the first curb and a smooth exit past the second apex.

Same here, setups that worked well in GT3 don't work at all in GT4. When I raised the strength of the brakes to 20, I was blocking the brakes everywhere, and it was really dificult to be smoth.
Ve Safari:
I brake a little bit after the 100 m mark @ 310 kmh, I guess it is almost at 95 m. I can brake a little bit later and still made the turn, but doing so forces to be a little bit conservative in the throtle during the turn. The braking point changes a lot with your toe and downforce settings, low downforce needs braking a little bit earlier in order to take the corner with the throtle to the floor.
1.16.921
and that's all for me this round, I just can't go quicker than that, either I mess the first turn or the breaking into second chicane, or that right sweeper after the first chicane... , I can lap on the 1:18's relatively easy, 1 of each 5 laps I can find the way into 1:17's, but only once in the 1300 kms I ran between yesterday and today, I managed to get below 1:17 I wont' be running anymore for this round because I find StickShift time really difficult to beat, and more important, my wife won't like the idea of me in front of the PS2 for the rest of the weekend ...

The sun comes into GMT zone one hour later than into CET. I'd say 22.59.59.
My final lap is 1:18.485

After 1500kms in the M3 at Fuji, I could do no better than 1:17.988. I have countless laps in the 1:18.0-18.3 range, but no faster. I once rattled off 10 consecutive laps between 18.0-18.1

Is there anyway someone can post a hotlap so I can see where I am stuffing up? Or maybe someone can post their corner entry&exit speeds, particularly for the two chicanes?

And looking at peeko and stickshift I lost close to 5 tenths in comparison after sector 2.
Unfortunately the lap where I managed to go faster in the last two sectors and faster overall was the lap where I took too much of the brown curb in sector 2 - funnily enough I was actually slower in that sector when I "cut" the chicane.

I was slowest in the last sector and off the pace in the third, which sounds about right because I was never happy with the second chicane.
Was I the only one who found the first two sectors "flowed" a lot better than the following two? I really enjoyed driving the first half of the track, but after the second hairpin I could never get comfortable.

I don't have a server to put the file on, so I'll just use rapidshare for now. Scroll down, and hit the 'Free' button to go to the download page, then wait for the page to refresh with a download link at the bottom (this can take seconds, or minutes).
Sorry for the size, I'm not too sure how to convert a .mov file into a format that's a bit more palatable, nor do I want to waste my time trying to do so!

what I can see, is that the Limited Sleep Differential makes a bid difference at the right hander after the first chicane, that´s where I lost most of the time to you...

Thats what I noticed too. I didn't put the LSD on the car until the last day and instantly I felt faster and capable of consistant laps at a faster pace.Originally posted by Xig
