According to interview published in today's Bild Am Sontag Jean Todt rates Räikkönen over Alonso. He said that next possible driver to Ferrari is a young driver working in german-british team

This is quite intresting as FA is getting all the praise while KR all the blame.

Also F1 racing says that Merc has least horsepower on the grid

Vrba, your comments on both matters please. ;)

That's interesting, although I would pick FA just slightly ahead of KR, It would be nice if both went to Ferrari!!! :p ... but what would be the fun in that??

Yep. Maybe they will pick Massa to be Kimi's next bitch a la Rubens

Well I had to go and read too much into it and read it as Button. (no need to point out of obvious)

I try to translate from finnish:

"Who says we are interested about Alonso?"
"He has talent, okey, but they are other drivers that are really good"
"I can tell you this, Alonso is not on top of our list"

But there's nothing new here, I told some time ago about Todt making phone calls to Mclaren to check status of Kimi's contract.

Ferrari drivers leaving and Alonso making contract with Renault? -> Ferrari out of drivers.

No real massive surprise really, it's not the first time that the dream team (ala JT, RBx2, MS) have stated their admiration for Kimi

What is wrong with Rubens as the leading driver? To my eye he is one of the most mature, level headed drivers in the field. Most of the others, especially the young ones, are having little hissy fits or disagreements with their bosses that give them no credibility.

Alonso has shown himself to be more complete than Raikkonen and a harder racer IMHO. but Todt's opinion is his so i suppose he must know what he's talking about.

I still reckon KR will be shown up overall by JPM this year.

Last month Ross Brown said Alonso is top 1 for Ferrari, and now is just OK ???, watching the 3 races of FA this year i think these Todt´s words are just fog for his real intencion, get FA ASAP, IMO of course.

Not getting younger and too inconsistent to be number one driver at Ferrari, IMO.

Youngest pole and GP winner, beaten Trulli and so far Fischella.
Of course they don´t want him, he would be too fast for Schumacher

Cool cool[I'm a female btw], but If memory serves, DC urinated off a balcony in Spain 95, got caught, apologized and the incident was largely forgotten about.

Yeah, she's probably got a host of personal trainers if you know what I mean.
Todt's no oil painting, maybe he's packing it in the shorts.

Kimi is better than Alonso.
But I think Todt is only putting pressure on Alonso to help MS.

Actually oriental girls age more gracefully, on average. Todt's pockets are full, if that's what you mean ;)

There is more evidence that Pedro is better than Kimi, nothing to suggest Kimi is better than Alonso. But you are right, this is all just a silly game of sorts. Trouble is we can't translate.

Kind of off topic, but some women are really attracted to successful, powerful and hence confident men. If he knows how to treat "ze uhm ladies, oui?" that's reason enough (at that age).

Still Raikkonen would be a better possibility becasue there's no Briatore involved, I guess. Unless it's Heidfeld.

Bahhh, sounds like you're describing Donald Trump.

So, this is what it's come down to between races-talking about what's in Jean Todt's pants. I think I'll just come to the forum the day after a race and avoid all this other stimulating conversation.;) You know, if he grew his hair longer and had a mustache, JT would look a lot like Ron Jeremy.

Todt's talking about Nick Heidfeld, people.

Catch a wake-up, willya? I can't think of ANY team manager at this stage who would actually want Kimi in their team. Apart from the despicable Stoddart, of course.

Montoya is very good driver, but Kimi is more complete. The real duo of the future is Kimi and Fernando. Alonso still needs to prove how he works under pressure when you drive for a championship battle. Kimi has already proved he could handle that and almost won.

Correction. Kimi HAD it won already - then he went ahead and lost it, anyway. Slight difference.

And the same is true of Montoya, in that year. Todt wouldn't consider either of them to be very reliable under pressure.

I supposed you don´t mind pointing out where exactly KR lost it...? Obviously counting out races like Hock where he was taken out by Ralf/Rubens and Nurburg where engine failure cost him 10 points.
