I don't think so.Originally posted by WINO
Terry O'Neil asked me to post his following amendments:
1956
There is no "M" after the chassis numbers on 857 or 860 Monzas
The 857 S or the 860 Monza - as the 750 Monza - used the same chassis, tipo 510.
So, if this is a real DNS, there is a problem with the date I gave for the Circuit de Metz race.Originally posted by Reyna

27/06/1954 . GP Sport. Porto (P). DNS - Maserati A6GCSOriginally posted by GIGLEUX
The Circuit de Metz was on 27/06/1954 . De Portago had N°42.
So the DNS at Porto must be a DNA ???

Jean-Maurice, thanks for your answers.
For his personal 625, I have 625/7, 0540 and 55/1 !
Although, if I'm not mistaken, he raced with always the same car.
In order to have a definitive answer, it would be interesting to know the opinion of David, Doug, and others, please.

I believe the de Portago 625, given customer c/no. 0540, may have been rebuilt from the private Tipo 500 No. 0208. De Portago may also have driven the 625 which had started out as 500/7, but this was subsequently given a different customer number (0712) so is certainly a different car.
I'm not a Ferrari expert, but haven't seen 625s given their own /1, /2, /3 etc numbers. Nor have I ever seen a 55/1 (etc) - though there was apparently a 54/1...
