Dear eukie and Gigleux !

Once more thank You very much for your precious help.
I have a doubt concerning the Midnight Sun Rally 1954.

I have the book concerning the Swedish Rally (don't bring a general classification) but the classes. And the doubt his concerning Arne Wernersson, the 7th classified. They enter in the Klass III (1001-1300 cc). The winner of this class (acording to the book) has been John Bengtsson who finnished 6th overall and the second has been Gunnar Nilsson (9th overall). Arne Wernersson was 9th in his class so (yet, according to the book) he couldn't have been 7th overall.

Could You give me some enlightment regarding this subject ?

Thank You very much once more
Best Regards from Portugal
jrally (Jorge T.)

P.S. - Thank You, pingst ,for your help too !

In 1955 the Adriatic Rally doesn't count towards the championship.
Rally Monte Carlo
Rally Ssestrieres
RAC Rally
Tulip Rally
ADAC Rally Nürburgring
Rally Midnight Sun
Liege-Rome-Liege
Viking Rally
were the Championship Rallyies

Another doubt that persists is Sardinia 63 ! In 1963 there was not the ERC but a Cup with several rallyes.

Did the Sardinia Rallye made part of that Cup ?

Thanks

Well, if I only knew.

My source is a Swedish seasonal survey named 'Motoråret', (aquired just one week ago).
It gives the table quoted, although with marks. The organizer obviousely employed an unusual sysem, as the crew with the highest total won.
I have no way to tell how reliable this book is, BUT confusion sets in when I look further down at the table of the class-winners. Here the sum of marks given are higher than in the general classification. It differs with from about twenty up to two hundred marks.

Can somebody throw some light on this?
