Just heard on "2 Wheel Tuesday" about the AMA Supercross moving from ESPN2 to Speed Channel.

Greg White's quote was, "Some of you may have read online that the AMA Supercross series is coming to Speed. Well we can't comment on that. But, I will tell you this...I'm one excited dude about the future of motorcycle racing on Speed!"

That would be a welcome change. ESPN2 does nothing to promote it. In fact, Speed does more to promote the series than does ESPN2. Speed always shows highlights on "2 Wheel Tuesday". I don't think I've ever seen a single highlight on "Sportscenter". And, ESPN2 always shows it delayed at least a day.

Speed showed the Supercross race from Daytona live this year (as part of it's Bike Week coverage). They showed all of the heat races and the main event LIVE in one extended broadcast. I'm not expecting that kind of coverage every week, but it's got to be better than ESPN2 did.

I'm not that excited about this move, speed kinda sucks now, with all the stupid reality shows and nascar programming. Nikes are taking a back seat, IMO they're riding in the bed of a truck, and having to lay down when a cop drives by.

I'm only excited because I don't get ESPN in Canada. No TV station does motorcross/supercross justice anyway. It is really a live spectator sport.

NIKES????? Well, I did hear today that Adidas is buying out Reebok, so I guess that maybe Nikes did take a backseat to Reeboks and Adidas today.

Oh, I think you meant BIKES.

Well, currently OLN has the outdoor motocross series and the SuperMoto series. Of course, they don't do anything to promote either series and they are always shown on delay and nobody even knows that OLN exists, so they are doing about as good of a job as ESPN has done with SuperCross.

I think what we need is a motorcycle channel (Speed2?).
